Position Objectives

Undertake general labour duties associated with Civil and Electrical Construction and Maintenance Works

Organisational Relationships

The position reports to the Project Manager via Project Coordinators or site supervisors such as Leading Hands or Foreman.

Duties

  • Comply with Trafflec Policies, Procedures and Reference Guides
  • Undertake work activities in accordance with safety policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Undertake construction activities
  • Compliance with relevant construction standards and specifications
  • Other duties as directed from time to time.   

Skills and Experience

  • High level of reliability including attendance and punctuality.
  • Demonstrated ability and physical fitness to undertake construction duties.
  • Demonstrated basic literacy and numeracy, oral and written skills
  • Willingness to work in a co-operative team environment
  • High level of reliability including attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate own work tasks on a daily basis with minimal supervision
  • Experience in use of minor plant and equipment
  • Concrete construction and finishing skills
  • Basic carpentry skills
  • Sound knowledge of road and drainage construction and maintenance requirements.
  • Sound knowledge of landscaping requirements.

Qualifications

  • Drivers Licence
  • Industry induction (blue/white card)
  • Plant licenses (Desirable)
  • Truck license MR and/or HR (Desirable)
  • Dogman ticket (Desirable)
  • Senior First Aid (Desirable)
  • Energex WCS 2, 31, 37, and 61 compliance (Desirable)

Additional Requirements

  • The position will be required to travel and work away from home from time to time.
  • The position may require weekend and shift work on regular basis
