WHS Policy



CIVLEC Pty Ltd Trading as Trafflec and GRC Civil recognises its moral and legal responsibility to provide a safe and healthy work environment for employees, clients, subcontractors, suppliers and visitors at all CIVLEC workplaces. This commitment extends to ensuring that our operations do not expose the local community to any risk of injury, illness or damage to property or environment.

CIVLEC will:

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant statutory and other obligations, standards, specifications and codes of practice.
  • Establish measurable objectives and targets to ensure continued improvement aimed at elimination of work-related injury and illness and continually promoting and applying improvement strategies throughout the organisation to progressively achieve healthier and safer environment for personnel to work in
  • Provide a safe and healthy workplaces and activities, as well as prevention of work-related injury and ill health to eliminate hazards and reduce WHS risks.
  • Ensure that the resources needed to maintain and improve the WHS management system are available.
  • Direct and support persons to contribute to the effectiveness of the WHS management system, as well as other relevant management roles to demonstrate their leadership as it applies to their areas of responsibility.
  • Develop, lead and promote a culture in the organisation that supports the intended outcomes of the WHS management system.
  • Protect workers from reprisals when reporting incidents, hazards, risks and opportunities.
  • Consult and communicate with employees and subcontractors and other relevant interested parties in matters relating to the quality, health, safety and environment.
  • Enhance organisation’s capability by competent, empowered and engaged employees at all levels through the company.
  • Identify, report, investigate and resolve all non-conformances and incidents and take appropriate action and place new controls to prevent recurrence.
  • Treat external providers as integral asset of the company and work closely with them to meet client needs.

 

Workers Obligations under this policy

  • If a worker recognises any work health and safety issues, hazards, near misses or incidents they should immediately contact their supervisor.
  • Actively participate in any safety training and the use of the PPE provided to them.
  • Comply with all reasonable policies, procedures, instructions and rules regarding workplace health and safety.
  • Take reasonable care to ensure that their own health and safety.
  • Ensure that their conduct does not adversely affect others, they do notwillfullyor recklessly interfere with or miss use anything provided for workplace health and safety in the workplace.
  • Actively participate in the management of workplace health and safety at work by participating in discussions and encourage other workers and stakeholders to act in a health and safety way.

 

To comply with our policy, our staff will receive adequate induction and training to enable them to follow our systems and procedures. This policy will apply to all employees and contractors and is reviewed periodically to ensure it remains relevant to the operations and activities of CIVLECPty Ltd
